Had the good fortune to get added to this project. Working on the animation Library now.
Been busy the last couple months, and so I’ve not been taking the time to keep up on blogging. Just finished putting the final touches on my 2016 Demo Reel, after completing the Creature Locomotion master’s course at Animation Mentor. Our instructor, Nicole Herr, pushed us hard and I think the work turned out well. Hopefully, employers will agree and I’ll be able to find footing somewhere soon. Special thanks go out to the folks at AM and the selection panel at the Arts Council in Kalamazoo for the MCACA Mini-grant. I couldn’t have done this work without all three organizations’ help.

Well, it seems the universe has stepped in and decided to push me out of my comfort zone. As of the end of this year, I will no longer be employed with Southern Graphic Systems because they’re closing our branch. While that might sound like a tragedy (and may turn into one financially) right now it feels pretty liberating. I’ve not been willing to pursue my dreams because my job offered my family stability (and let’s be honest, a bit of cowardice). Now that stability is gone and I’ve nothing but me in the way.
